how it works new

CLEVVA’s Navigator Platform

offers an extensive range of features to help you build and maintain your company’s decision-making Navigator so that staff and customers get it right, every time.

Here are some of the highlights.

The CLEVVA backend allows non coders to build the logic that powers the VA’s. This is done through an intuitive, user-friendly interface that makes it easy for authors to import data and build VA’s using the step by step wizards as well as drag and drop functionality. The visual designer allows authors to see an overview of the VA logic, making it easy for them to create and maintain even the most complex of VA’s.

VA’s are automatically version controlled which allows for an interactive or agile methodology to be adopted to building, testing, releasing and improving the VA’s.

CLEVVA makes integrating the VA’s into existing systems easy by providing HTML code templates for embedding hyperlinks, popup buttons and iFrames into 3rd party web applications.

Authors have debug capabilities to allow them to step through the logic and easily locate and fix or improve the logic. They do this by simply clicking on a hyperlink that opens the VA editor in the backend at the exact point where the change needs to be made.

Advanced search and filtering functionality makes it easy for authors to find what they’re looking for.

The end user interface is incredibly simple to use. It allows users to search, browse and access favorite VA’s. A recent list of sessions is also available for users to pick up where they left off. When end users run the VA, it is presented in a simple, step by step format. Steps can have support linked to them to help the user complete the action or make the decision.

Answers can be inferred from previous decisions and if they get stuck, they can contact the expert. End user interactions can have GPS tracking enabled, and users are also able to take and upload photos that are Geo-Tagged, as well as upload related documents. In addition, there is a drawing feature that also allows users to make drawings or capture signatures liked to an interaction.

Interactions are stateful. This means that users can exist a VA at any point, and then return later (and it will know where they were). You can also access previous interactions and start from where you left off (instant bookmarking).

A detailed report can be set to show after each session is completed. This report contains a unique reference number, as well as a record of all the steps and decisions taken. This can act as a compliance record and be referenced back to the operational system.

Backend authors and administrators are provided with online help via our CLEVVA Virtual Advisor (Advice). Advice is always available to help authors when they get stuck, or are not sure of how to do something. Advice also helps new authors through a self-learning journey that typically takes 8-16 hours, depending on the authors comfort with data logic.

CLEVVA makes it easy to import and export data to allow you to quickly get started using existing data. Move data around using drag and drop features, as well as use folders (hierarchical data structures) to manage data sets and ensure they inherit complex rules and relationships based on folder-level settings. You can also add reusable data to the VA and apply rules and filters to contextualise the data, based on the logic required for the VA. You can link VA’s and content to data as well as use the Image Upload Wizard to upload and match large sets of images with their corresponding records, based on even a partial code or description match.

Also make use of CLEVVA’s powerful search and filter features to target specific data sets.

Factors represent structured information for each record and can support various data types. Factors are automatically created from the dynamic columns that are imported with the data records and can be structured in hierarchical folders to make them easy to maintain, browse and search. Adding factors to VA’s is as simple as dragging and dropping them onto the VA Editor, and it’s possible to automatically create and link factors retrospectively using manual decisions added to the VA. You can also link support to factors at a global level to make it possible for VA’s to inherit any content, other VA’s or other rules associated with that factor. This means that you won’t have to apply and maintain all the linked support on every VA, but can do so at a higher level.

Leverage off existing knowledge articles and information by uploading documents and URL links into the CLEVVA content repository. You can then associate specific content to targeted data records, factors or specific action within specific VAs, so users get access to them at relevant points in the decision-making process. CLEVVA also allows you to import and link large volumes of content for rapid mapping, and also supports content tagging for improved search capabilities. And should only certain users with certain roles be allowed access to certain referenced content, you can set these access rights within CLEVVA.

Create and maintain entities to represent customers, assets, projects or anything else that you wish to track VA’s against. Entities can be imported from data extracted from 3rd party master data systems or integrated using the CLEVVA API. You can setup and maintain entities in hierarchical folders for better management of the entity sessions, and link specific users to entities to control access. You can also link factors to entities to allow the VA’s to leverage off known information about the entities. This ensures contextually-relevant customer experiences, where VAs ‘know’ the client’s history and only ask relevant questions and offer relevant solutions, based on this known data.

Create and maintain users in hierarchical departments that can represent the organisations internal structures. To speed this up, you can import from data sheets or integrate users with 3rd party user management systems.

Apply user permissions at various levels to control backend and administrator access, and setup and maintain user roles to centrally control access to VA’s based on the users specific role within the organisation. You can also link users to multiple roles and departments to maximise flexibility while minimising the maintenance effort. In addition, you can apply department level branding and rules to customise the experience by department or company, while using the common VA’s with rules built in to contextualise the logic based on the department/company the user belongs to.

Share VA’s with other users by using CLEVVA’s easy sharing mechanisms. This allows you to either assign a VA to another user, or copy and/or e-mail a VA link to another person to complete. The sharing mechanism supports effective decision flow, where you can send other people related VAs to complete, and have their inputs influence the resulting outcome, plus have each related interaction tracked under a single session record.

Key Features

CLEVVA’s decision basket mechanism allows you to track and maintain key choices made in the VA, as well as dynamically navigate through a number of associated interactions. The decision basket acts like an active summary of key choices made, and options or actions that can still be made. As you complete different actions, the active summary list updates dynamically so the user always knowns where they are. At any point they can also opt for a summary report to either print, share or copy into a 3rd party system. They can also exit at any point, and return to the summary (it always remains stateful).

Take photos at anytime during the session and attach them to the VA record. You can also upload and attached other file types to be included in the report, and/or you can opt to draw diagrams and sketches that can be attached to the session and are available in the report. The drawing tool can also be used to capture signatures, if required.

Track which users ran which VA’s against specific entities e.g. customers, people, projects, or assets; the status of specific VA sessions; and/or the steps, decisions and products/solutions chosen by any range of user or customer at any period of time. You can also track multiple interactions completed by different users on the same session. This allows you to track how decisions were arrived at across multiple people (decision flow). You can also track the date, time and GPS co-ordinates of where any specific VA was launched and applied, to confirm that the user was actually making the decision or performing the action where they said they were.

CLEVVA makes it easy to provide end users with access to different VA’s outside of the standard Stay On Top interface. This is achieved by providing HTML code templates to embed hyperlinks, popup windows and iFrames into 3rd party systems. You can also choose to use the comprehensive library of API methods to integrate CLEVVA with your existing systems. Our API’s are self documenting and include example code for every method to make it quick and easy for developers to learn and use.

Session summary reports are provided to each user at the end of any VA session or interaction. This report offers a unique reference number, plus all the important details of the steps, decisions and choices made for each of the interactions. This report can be printed or emailed at the end of every session, as well as accessed from the backend if required.

Data exports are also provided at various levels to allow you to analyse all the decisions and choices made on any targeted set of VA interactions. This includes data showing the time taken between each question/step and other useful information. Analysis can then be done by importing the data into software such as Microsoft Excel or alternatively into a targeted Data Warehouse for specialised reporting and analytics.

User events like logins and password changes are also tracked and can be exported for management purposes.
